What does it mean to be a ‘self-healer'?
Eventually through some internet searches I discovered Raelan and her Facebook community group, where for the first time I found inspiring stories of hope and talk of something called brain retraining. More exploring online and on social media led me to discover a number of recovery programmes that are available, which were offering various types of support. In November 2021 I stumbled across Jennifer Mann on Instagram and uncovered a new option: CFS School (renamed the Heal Program by Somia* in Feb 2024

It will come as no surprise for me to share that I tried MANY treatments to ‘fix’ my fatigue. From resting & pacing, supplements & diet, to acupuncture & The Perrin Technique, and the list goes on. Yes, some of these things helped but I was still just stuck in a place of survival, not really living.
The Mindbody tools for nervous system healing I learned & was supported to implement with CFS School are absolutely the reason I shifted the chronic fatigue for good.
Being a self-healer means believing that you already have everything in you that you need, and taking responsibility for practicing the tools - usually through experimenting and being playful!
I have an on-going practice, gradually healing some of my deeper wounds that cause some of my old neurology to creep in now & again. This is a journey after all, one where my true self is at the helm the large majority of the time, living in a state of flow wherever the wind takes me…
